Was Mary, the Mother of Jesus, a Virgin?
Since we can remember, we have been taught that Jesus, the messiah of the world, according to the Holy Bible, was born from a virgin when the Holy Spirit impregnated her.
This interpretation has been believed by Christians and Catholics which claim the divinity of Jesus Christ. This belief was taken from the Bible which tells the story of the Virgin Mary giving birth to a baby in a manger.
Its in the Blood Line Genealogy of Christ!
Jesus wept (John 11:35). He was human. His father Joseph is part of the blood line. Lets go to the first book of the 4 gospels, Matthew 1. The chapter consists of 16 verses which record the genealogy of Jesus Christ.
Matthew 1:1-16
1 This is the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah the son of David, the son of Abraham:
2 Abraham was the father of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob, Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers,
3 Judah the father of Perez and Zerah, whose mother was Tamar, Perez the father of Hezron, Hezron the father of Ram,
4 Ram the father of Amminadab, Amminadab the father of Nahshon, Nahshon the father of Salmon,
5 Salmon the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab, Boaz the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth, Obed the father of Jesse,
6 and Jesse the father of King David. David was the father of Solomon, whose mother had been Uriah’s wife,
7 Solomon the father of Rehoboam, Rehoboam the father of Abijah, Abijah the father of Asa,
8 Asa the father of Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat the father of Jehoram, Jehoram the father of Uzziah,
9 Uzziah the father of Jotham, Jotham the father of Ahaz, Ahaz the father of Hezekiah,
10 Hezekiah the father of Manasseh, Manasseh the father of Amon, Amon the father of Josiah,
11 and Josiah the father of Jeconiah and his brothers at the time of the exile to Babylon.
12 After the exile to Babylon: Jeconiah was the father of Shealtiel, Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel,
13 Zerubbabel the father of Abihud, Abihud the father of Eliakim, Eliakim the father of Azor,
14 Azor the father of Zadok, Zadok the father of Akim, Akim the father of Elihud,
15 Elihud the father of Eleazar, Eleazar the father of Matthan, Matthan the father of Jacob,
16 and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah.
If you read verse 16 again, you will notice Joseph is part of the genealogy (blood line) of Jesus Christ which connects him to David and Abraham.
Who was Joseph, the Father of Jesus Christ?
Scholars believe Mary was 12 to 14 when she gave birth to Jesus. How old was Joseph? Many believe he was about 40 years old. Google will tell you 90.
Bible scholars have different opinions on Joseph and his role in the life of Jesus.
Joseph and Mary’s relationship, including their betrothal and marriage, is one of the most iconic in the Bible. Mary is young, devout, and contemplative. Joseph is humble, obedient, and protective. Together, they were the earthly parents of Jesus. Bible readers have a lot of questions about the holy couple. One of them concerns how old Joseph was when they married.
Joseph may have been as young as 18 to 20 and as old as 36 to 42 when he married Mary. Since the Bible doesn’t mention how old he was, it may be possible to use specific historical and cultural factors to estimate an age range. Also, some unsupported traditions imply that Joseph was in his 80’s or 90’s.

The Word 'Virgin' Lost in Translation?
The wild olive tree originated in Asia Minor where it is extremely abundant and grows in thick forests. It appears to have spread from Syria to Greece via Anatolia (De Candolle, 1883) although other hypotheses point to lower Egypt, Nubia, Ethiopia, the Atlas Mountains or certain areas of Europe as its source area.
It spread from Syria?
The gospel of Matthew is believed to have been written in Syria.
Google can tell you that.
Virgin oils are, unlike regular olive oil, always made cold-pressed and without the use of any heat or chemicals. This means that the oil is extracted purely mechanically, by grinding olives into a paste followed by pressing.
The Gospel According to Matthew was composed in Greek, probably sometime after 70 AD, with evident dependence on the earlier Gospel According to Mark. There has, however, been extended discussion about the possibility of an earlier version in Aramaic.
Olive Oil originates from Europe and Middle Eastern regions. Virgin Olive Oil? Maybe our version of the Bible when it came to the word Virgin was lost in translation. Could Virgin have meant Young? Virgin birth is impossible. To believe in Virgin birth, you devalue semen which is the essence and beginning of all life.
